About ChainCost
Why We Built This
Crypto fees are confusing. Every exchange charges different withdrawal fees. Every blockchain has different gas costs. And the "cheapest" option changes constantly based on network congestion.
We built ChainCost because we were tired of overpaying for transfers. Sending $100 in USDT shouldn't cost $15 in fees when there's a $0.10 option available — you just need to know which network to pick.
ChainCost shows you all your options side-by-side with real-time fee data, so you can make an informed decision in seconds.
What We Do
- Fee Calculator — Compare withdrawal and transfer fees across all major blockchains (Ethereum, Solana, TRON, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and more) for any exchange.
- Swap Comparison — Compare the cost of swapping assets on centralized exchanges vs. decentralized bridges.
- Exchange Comparison — See which exchanges offer the lowest withdrawal fees for your specific asset and network.
- Guides — In-depth articles explaining crypto fees, network differences, and money-saving strategies.
How Our Data Works
ChainCost combines two types of fee data:
- Exchange withdrawal fees — Manually researched and regularly updated from each exchange's official fee pages. These are flat fees set by the exchange.
- Network (gas) fees — Fetched in real-time from public blockchain APIs and RPC nodes, including Etherscan, Solana RPC, BscScan, Polygonscan, and others.
The total cost you see is: exchange withdrawal fee + estimated network gas fee. This gives you the most accurate picture of what you'll actually pay.
Our Principles
- Free forever — ChainCost is free to use. No account required. No wallet connection needed.
- Transparency — We show you exactly how fees are calculated with full breakdowns.
- Independence — Our rankings are based purely on fees. We do not accept payment to rank exchanges higher.
- Privacy-first — We don't collect personal information. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
How We Make Money
ChainCost is supported by:
- Display advertising — Non-intrusive ads served through Google AdSense on guide pages.
- Affiliate links — When we link to exchanges, we may earn a commission if you sign up. This never affects our fee rankings or recommendations. Affiliate links are always disclosed.
These revenue sources allow us to keep ChainCost free while covering hosting and development costs.
